Thanks Hugo, really helped.
One question: How do you take the Glutamine? (What do you mix it with, before or after workout, etc).
Thanks!
Kyle.

Hi Kyle!
You can take 5 grams before and after the workout. The before dose works helps as an anti-catabolic agent and the after dose serves for recovery. I typically just place the 5 grams in my mouth and swallow it down with some water.
Best!

Awesome, thank you.
I’m actually leaving for Vitamin Shoppe in a few minutes to buy the flax seed oil, Vitamin C, Magnesium, and the Labrada Nutrition protein shakes as well.
(I take EAS Myoplex protein shakes at the moment, but the Labrada Nutrition ones are on a good sale right now) haha.
Anyways, thanks again!
Kyle

Glutamine should not be taken at the same time as creatine because they compete for receptors to be absorbed. Take glutamine pre-workout and creatine post-workout.

Hugo, first of all, you da man!
Second, I’m a little confused about NO boosters. In your Hardgainers handbook you sound a little leary about NO boosters. Is superchange extreme NO different b/c it has glutamine and arginine?
Third, I love your advice on creatine, but could you post something that breaks down all the different creatine products, and help tell us what we should be looking for?
Thanks,
Hugo Fan 4 Life!

1 other reason he’s encouraging folks to take flaxseed oil is because it doesnt contain omega 6. hi amounts of O-6 can cause big issues regarding inflammation.if U are already injured or U workout & have the normal wear & tear, it can really keep U from healing properly and cause chronic inflammation issues.but if flaxseed oil is used too long, it may cause Omega 6 LA deficiency symptoms.blend flaxseed oil w/other oils that contain more O-6, like sesame oil, sunflower oil, evening primrose oil.

What are you talking about? Flaxseed Oil does contain a significant about of omega 6.Check out the label man.

The truth about Omega fatty acids is this. Omega 3’s are touted as being super important. We get a ton of Omega 6’s, and not enough 3s. It has been shown (I will not say proved) that it is beneficial to one’s health if your intake of Omega fatty acids is about 1:1 Omega 6 : Omega 3s. if you have a more balanced intake, the real health benefits of such a supplement shine through. Omega 3 versus Omega 6 is not the argument. The balance is the key, just like everything else in bodybuilding.

Dont just read off the label, I can do that myself. Tell us things we dont know. Tips, cautions, advice. Anyone can read off the label.

You can take either anytime of day though preferably take the creatine afterwords. I would say take the glutamine maybe when you wake up or go to sleep.

Guys, it’s science and every new research trumps another it’s just how the science community works. Basically what I’m sayn’ is instead of arguing about what is the best for you, you need to know there’s new findings everyday for what’s good for you. Today it’s flaxseed oil tomorrow it’s Omega 3 or 6 or whatever. All of these answers are right. Look at this man! are you seriously not gonna take his advice?
